Terms and Conditions

1.) SMSHP will provide educational activities that are independent of commercial interest. Commercial interest is defined as any entity producing, marketing, reselling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by or used on patients.

2.) External funding from commercial support will be provided in the form of unrestricted educational grants made payable to SMSHP. The SMSHP Board Members will make decisions on the disbursement of funds related to providing the continuing education activity (e.g., speaker honorarium, travel expenses, educational materials, venue, meal expenses, etc.)

3.) Commercial exhibits or advertisements will not occur in or during the continuing education activity. It is prohibited for representatives of commercial interests to engage members during the live educational program.

4.) Commercial interests will be prohibited from providing continuing education activities to learners or influence the planning of the CE activity.

5.) SMSHP will disclose any financial support provided by the commercial support at the beginning of the educational activity.

6.) Selection can be transferred to future programs within the calendar year with 30 days prior notice before the selected month. All payments are non-refundable.
